Coppice performing arts students invite Emma to an evening at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre

Coppice

Emma went to Coppice Performing Arts School’s production of ‘Our House’ at the Grand Theatre last Friday. It is the second time the school has staged productions at this prestigious venue.

The schools production of 'Our House', an award winning show based on the music of Madness was first staged there in 2011. Due to its high level of success and popularity, the theatre invited them to stage it again in January 2012.

Emma said “It is always a pleasure to be asked to share in the success of a local school. The show was fantastic, a real toe tapper.  I was very impressed with the students and their performance.

“I would also like to congratulate Steve Clifton the Assistant head teacher and show producer for giving the students the opportunity to be part of such an exciting event.”

Notes

Coppice was designated as a Performing Arts school in September 2003. This has extended the range of opportunities for all students, and developed successful partnerships with local schools and community groups. The school's wide range of performance activities in dance, drama and music has impacted positively on both the local community and across the city as Coppice's reputation for high quality small, medium and large scale performance events has spread.
