Emma said: “I was pleased to attend and speak at the Sikh Federation’s Convention again this year at the Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Wolverhampton.”
“A continuing concern for the community is the issue of turban searches at airports in the UK and other European countries. Along with other MPs, I have been representing the concerns of the community to the Government.”
“It is encouraging that there has been an extension of the trial of using the swab method of checking turbans in British airports. It is also promising that the European Commission is considering how this best practice in the UK can be implemented in other European countries.”
