On 17 March 2012, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat were joined by their world leader, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Fifth Khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat when he inaugurated the new Baitul Atta Mosque in Wolverhampton.

His Holiness officially inaugurated the Mosque by unveiling a commemorative plaque and then offering a silent prayer in thanks to God Almighty. Thereafter a tree was planted by His Holiness to further mark the occasion.
