Emma attends Sikh Federation Annual Convention

Emma at Sikh event

Emma was delighted to attend the Sikh Federation’s Annual Convention in Wolverhampton last weekend.  The event is the biggest gathering organised by the Federation in the UK.  The organisation was established in September 2003 with the aim of giving Sikhs a stronger political voice by taking an increasing interest in mainstream politics in the UK.

Emma said: "It was a great honour to be invited to speak at this year’s Sikh Federation Annual Convention.  The Sikh community makes a very important and vibrant contribution to Wolverhampton society.  I look forward to working with the Federation to ensure their concerns are taken into account."

Emma was recently elected Secretary of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Sikhs.
