Emma backs RSPB charity single
Emma has backed a campaign by national bird conservation charity, the RSPB, to get birdsong into the charts for the first time.
The RSPB is calling on the public to download, stream and share their single, Let Nature Sing. The single contains some of the most recognisable birdsongs that we used to enjoy, but that are on their way to disappearing forever like the Cuckoo, Nightingale, and Turtle Dove.
At an event in Parliament to promote the single, Emma said:
“It was great to support the RSPB’s campaign to get birdsong into the charts. The UK has lost over 40 million birds since 1966, and we are getting closer and closer to a spring without birdsong. 56% of UK wildlife is in decline, and time is running out to protect what is left.
“I would call on people who are interested in wildlife and conservation to support the campaign and get Let Nature Sing into the charts.”
More information and access to the download can be found at www.rspb.org.uk/letnaturesing.
