
Emma attended Friday’s graduation ceremony at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre to congratulate School of Sport, Performing Arts and Leisure students and to welcome Vice-Chancellor, Geoff Layer, to his new post at the University of Wolverhampton.
Emma said: “It was a pleasure to meet Professor Layer, the new Vice-Chancellor, who shares my vision that the University has an important role in the city and wider region. Professor Geoff Layer’s considerable achievements, experience and expertise equip him to provide the strong leadership which will be essential to the University’s success in navigating the considerable challenges facing higher education over the next ten years, building its national and international reputation and meeting the needs of the region and its businesses, student and local communities."
