Emma gives scouts and guides a big send off to World Jamboree in Japan
Emma Reynolds, MP for Wolverhampton North East and Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, wished local scouts and guides well on their trip to the World Scout Jamboree in Japan.
Emma said farewell to over 40 scouts from across the West Midlands, including 7 from the Wednesfield area, as they departed on their trip. They will join 50,000 other scouts from across the world. The World Scout Jamboree will take place from 28 July to 8 August in Southern Japan.
Emma said “I was delighted to attend this wonderful event to wish all our scouts and guides well on their trip to Japan, especially the scouts from Wednesfield. This will be a life changing journey for all of them, as they will get to meet people from all over the world, and learn about many different cultures. There will be a packed programme of events and activities, all based around the theme of ‘unity’. They were all very excited about their visit and I know they will have a fantastic time. I really wish I was joining them!”
