Emma has launched a survey to find out what her constituents think about the outcome of the EU referendum and an early general election.
Your responses will help to inform Emma’s work as she holds this Tory government to account in Parliament.
In a letter to constituents to accompany the survey, Emma said ‘I campaigned to Remain in the EU but I recognise that most of my constituents voted to Leave. I respect the result of the referendum. Now we need to get the best possible result for the people of Wolverhampton.’
Following the launch of the survey, Emma said ‘It is important that I hear the views of my constituents about what new relationship they want between the UK and the European Union following the results of the Referendum. This is the most important issue facing our country.
‘Many voters have concerns about immigration that need to be heard. At the same time we also need the best possible trade deal with European countries to continue to attract international companies like JLR and UTC which are investing in Wolverhampton and creating jobs.
‘We also have a new prime minister who has not won a general election. So I want to hear my constituents’ views on whether Theresa May should seek her own mandate through an early election.
‘I have therefore launched this survey to give my constituents the chance to let me know their opinions. I hope as many constituents as possible will take part. Anyone who wants to complete the survey can do so at emmareynolds.org.uk.’
