Emma Reynolds MP attends Wednesfield Remembrance Service with 89 year old veteran grandfather
On Sunday 10 November, Emma Reynolds MP attended the Remembrance Service in Wednesfield to join with others in remembering all those who have fallen in conflict and those British servicemen and women who are serving today.Emma attended the service with her 89 year old grandfather, who fought in the Second World War and is also a Normandy veteran having fought in the D-Day landings.
Emma said “On behalf of everyone who attended, I would like to thank St Thomas’ church and the Royal British Legion in Wednesfield for organising this year’s Remembrance Service.
“The service of remembrance was an important and poignant reminder of the sacrifices of our armed services during previous conflicts and around the world today.
“I was very moved to attend the service with my grandfather who fought in the Second World War and is also a Normandy veteran. I was pleased to see so many young people join their parents and grandparents. Every year more and more people attend the service to honour our brave armed forces, showing that people in Wednesfield and across Wolverhampton will never forget their sacrifice.”
