Emma Reynolds MP praises local aerospace company for their excellent apprenticeships

Marston Apprentice

Today Wolverhampton North East MP, Emma Reynolds, visited HS Marston Aerospace Ltd to mark National Apprenticeship Week and met with ten current and former apprentices at the local aerospace company.

Emma said, “I was delighted to meet apprentices at HS Marston and I was very impressed by the skills and qualifications they had gained during their apprenticeships. The career path of an apprenticeship is just as valuable as the university route and should be recognised as such.”

“I would like to encourage secondary schools and local employers to work more closely to make sure that pupils are aware of the apprenticeship opportunities available to them. Next month, I am holding a roundtable meeting with Shadow Education Secretary, Stephen Twigg, local businesses and head teachers and this issue will be on high on the agenda.”
