Emma Reynolds, MP for Wolverhampton North East and Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, has welcomed the redevelopment of the former Island House pub on Stafford Road. The building has been empty since 2007 and is being transformed into a new fish and chip restaurant and gastro bar.

Emma said “I am delighted that this building is finally being redeveloped. It has been an eyesore for many years so I am glad that building work has begun.”

“This business will also bring much needed jobs to the area. I want to wish everyone involved the best of luck and I am sure it will be a great success. I look forward to picking up a tasty meal when the new business opens.”
