Emma welcomes the news of Ashmore Park mast rejection
This week news was received from the Planning Inspectorate in Bristol that the application to place a mast on Griffiths Drive in Wednesfield had been rejected. Despite being turned down by Wolverhampton City Council’s Planning Committee last year, Vodafone and Telefonica 02 UK Ltd had appealed the decision with the Inspectorate.
After a vigorous campaign led by Emma and local Councillor Rita Potter the appeal has been quashed.
Emma Reynolds MP said “I was contacted by many residents who objected to the location of this telecommunications mast. Ashmore Park is a residential estate and this mast would have been wholly inappropriate.”
“I am pleased to see that the Planning Inspectorate has upheld the original decision made by the City Council that the mast should not go ahead.”
