Please use your vote to re-elect Emma as your local MP today
It has been a privilege to serve as the MP for Wolverhampton North East since I was elected in 2010. My top priority during that time has been to push for further regeneration and investment in our city and for more jobs for local people. I helped bring Jaguar Land Rover’s new multi-million pound engine plant to the outskirts of Wolverhampton. I fought to keep Goodyear in Wolverhampton and have worked with TATA Steel in Wednesfield who have just made a huge new investment. I work closely with local aerospace companies and have set up a cross party group in Parliament on aerospace. I was elected by fellow MPs to the Brexit select committee and will push for the best deal for Wolverhampton when we leave the EU.
Having grown up in Wolverhampton, I have seen it change over the years. I have been campaigning for a new train station and I’m pleased that work has now started alongside further regeneration of the City Centre.
Since 2010, I have been holding regular advice surgeries for constituents and have helped people on a whole range of different issues. I have also organised coffee mornings in different local communities.
My pledges to you in this election are:
• CONTINUE to give the best possible service to my constituents
• STAND UP for our NHS and social care in the face of Tory cuts
• DEFEND our schools and the future of our children
• PRESS for the best possible Brexit deal and fair changes to immigration rules
The Tories only care about a privileged few and will:
• Scrap the triple lock guarantee for pensioners
• Take away the winter fuel allowance from the majority of pensioners
• Bring in a dementia tax on people’s homes
• Further underfund our NHS
• Continue to reduce per pupil funding in our schools
• Have already reduced police budgets by 25% and taken 20,000 police officers off our streets
Don’t the Tories a blank cheque to make further cuts to vital public services such as schools, nurseries, social care and our NHS.
Many thanks for considering me.
Best wishes
Emma
