The ‘Stop Hate in Wolverhampton’ campaign is being led by Wolverhampton Homes and has already received the support of Wolverhampton City Council. It aims to raise the awareness of what hate crime is and ensure that people know how to report it.

Hate crime is abusive behaviour motivated by hate. It can be based on the perpetrator’s prejudice of the victim’s disability, race, age, gender or sexuality.

Emma said “I am pleased to lend my support to this campaign. We should all be working to stop all forms of harassment and hate crime. I would urge people to report any incidences of hate crime that they see or are a victim of. Targeting or harassing people due to their identity is simply unacceptable.”
