Trevor Beattie is a successful advertising executive who is originally from Birmingham. He found out that the Normandy Veterans were struggling to raise funds to visit Normandy this year so he donated generously to the West Midlands Normandy Veterans so that each of them could go to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

Emma said: "It was a great pleasure to meet Trevor this evening. I have heard so much about him from my Granddad. He gave a very moving speech about how and why he got involved. The veterans and their families were so very pleased to meet him too."
