Emma Reynolds, Labour MP for Wolverhampton North East and Shadow Housing Minister, has criticised the Government’s autumn statement today for failing to do anything for Wolverhampton.Emma said “when it comes to the impact of his policies on Wolverhampton, George Osborne has nothing to boast about. Unemployment is still stubbornly high and any talk of recovery is premature. The government’s lack of action and misdirected priorities shows how complacent they are and explains why there has not been an economic recovery for our city. In fact, people in Wolverhampton are facing a cost of living crisis. Prices have increased faster than wages for 40 of the last 41 months under this government and energy bills have rocketed this winter. Wulfrunians have come to expect more of the same from this government, who are never on the side of hard working people.”
