Each summer the Wolverhampton Youth Wind Orchestra and the Wolverhampton Youth Orchestra take their show on the road as they tour Europe. On Wednesday 18 July they performed their pre tour concert at Wolverhampton Civic Hall. This year’s overseas visit will see the orchestra visit Malta.

Emma Reynolds MP said, “I really enjoyed the concert, it is wonderful that there are so many young musicians from Wolverhampton who have reached such a high standard. I was particularly impressed by Wolverhampton Young Musician of the Year Matthew Leach.

“It was clear to the huge crowd that had turned out to support the orchestra that the young musicians were very dedicated and had worked very hard. I would like to wish all the members of the orchestra good luck with the tour”.
