Young apprentices from Wolverhampton Homes receive awards
Emma today congratulated staff from Wolverhampton Homes for their work on the Decent Homes initiative, including young staff members who have gained new skills through apprenticeships.
The event, hosted at the Molineux, celebrated the achievements of new apprentices in gaining skills in plumbing, carpentry and electrical engineering.
Emma said, "When unemployment in Wolverhampton is such a huge issue, it is fantastic to see good local employers like Wolverhampton Homes and private construction companies helping young people to increase their skills base and gain nationally recognised qualifications.
“There has never been a more important time for Wolverhampton to celebrate the achievements of these young men and women. It was wonderful to see so many local people come together to meet the next generation of plumbers, electricians, plasterers and painters and decorators and hear their stories.”
