Emma Reynolds MP and Shadow Housing Minister, attended a Christmas Extravaganza event at Wednesfield Community Hub organised by Wednesfield Community Association and the newly formed Hands On Wednesfield group.The fun took place from 10am – 5pm on Saturday 13th December and included a visit from Father Christmas, with a Santa’s grotto at the centre for children.

 

The event included Wednesfield Community Association’s Christmas Fayre complete with stalls and displays. There were also demonstrations from a number of groups who use the centre, including dancing. Well Lane Gurdwara kindly donated 500 samosas and cups of tea and there were also some delicious homemade cakes and mince pies for sale too. The Christmas festivities concluded outside of the Library with carol singing.

 

Emma said, “I was delighted to attend the Wednesfield Christmas Extravaganza. It was wonderful to see so many people of all ages coming along to enjoy the festivities and get in the Christmas spirit. In particular Santa’s grotto was a real hit with the children. Julianne Moroz and Wednesfield Community Association, Hands on Wednesfield, James and Steph Clarke of the WV11 website, Simon Archer of Wednesfield Magazine, Well Lane Gurdwara, Father Christmas, Aldi and Gregg’s for their donations, and everyone else who helped to organise the event deserve a big thank you for making it such a success.”
