Emma joins Goodrich at ‘Grand Day Out’
Emma was delighted to join Goodrich at their family fun day which attracted 1,700 employees and friends. There were lots of activities for families to enjoy including Segways, bungee trampolines, competitions to win fabulous prizes, the behind the scenes site tour and an interactive educational zone.
Goodrich is the largest aerospace company in Wolverhampton. It employs 1,300 people and has recruited 150 new employees since the start of the year. The company has just been taken over by United Technologies Coorporation.
Emma said, “I would like to thank Goodrich for inviting me along to their Grand Day Out. It was a very enjoyable day and I particularly enjoyed the site visit and sitting inside the Squirrel helicopter, on loan from RAF Shawbury.
“As one of the largest employers in Wolverhampton, the aerospace industry is of huge importance to the local economy. These events demonstrate Goodrich’s commitment to Wolverhampton. As chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Aerospace, I will continue to promote and support this vital local industry.”
