Emma on the Government announcing it is going to extend its free period products scheme to include primary schools

Commenting on the announcement, Emma Reynolds said:

“When the Government announced this policy, it was initially only secondary schools and colleges which would receive free sanitary products. It is welcome to see they have listened to period poverty campaigners and extended this to include primary schools.

“Period poverty is a huge issue in this country, and girls should not be left at a disadvantage in school because they cannot afford tampons and pads.”
