Emma attended Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy opening
Emma Reynolds MP attended Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy official opening. Wolves recently built a new £7m academy at Compton Park to help the club’s talented young players to improve their skills.
Emma visited the site for its official opening by Steve Morgan, the club’s Chairman. The new academy site is only possible because of close cooperation between Wolves and Wolverhampton University which owned the land at Compton Park.
I was really impressed to see the indoor arena, where the astro-turf was almost as good as grass. There are also classrooms, a state-of-the-art gym and medical facilities. I hope the new academy will help Wolves go from strength to strength at a time when there is every chance the club will secure promotion to the Premier League.
