Emma Reynolds, Labour MP for Wolverhampton North East and Shadow Housing Minister, has marked Holocaust Memorial Day by signing the Holocaust Memorial Book of Commitment.Monday 27 January  marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the Nazi concentration and extermination camp which is the site of the largest mass murder in history. Every year, the Holocaust Educational Trust places a Book of Commitment in the House of Commons, giving MPs the chance to honour those who were persecuted and killed during the Holocaust and encouraging constituents to work together to combat prejudice and racism today.

Emma said, “The Holocaust is one of the darkest chapters in human history. It is vital that all of us take time on Holocaust Memorial Day to remember the terrible events that happened in the Holocaust and in subsequent genocides. Learning about the Holocaust is crucially important in tackling prejudice and intolerance in whatever forms they take. I am proud to support the important work of the Holocaust Educational Trust and the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust by signing the Book of Commitment.”
