Local MP Emma Reynolds today welcomed the news that Jaguar Land Rover is to expand the size of its new £355 million factory on the I54 site which will bring an extra 1,400 jobs to the city.Following excellent sales figures and increasing demand for their vehicles, Jaguar Land Rover has announced an extra investment of £150m which will take their total investment at the site to over half a billion pounds. 

Speaking after the announcement, Emma Reynolds said:

“The i54 site was already going to provide a significant boost to the local economy and this added investment from Jaguar Land Rover will further add to the benefit the people of Wolverhampton and the entire region will see from the completion of the site. 

1,400 extra jobs is simply fantastic news for local people. The benefit to the city from this increased investment will be significant and is a welcome boost at a time when unemployment is a real problem in Wolverhampton.”
