MP meets with apprentices at Goodyear’s factory in support of National Apprenticeship Week
Emma Reynolds MP recently visited the Goodyear factory in her constituency in support of National Apprenticeship Week.
On a tour of the site, Emma met with a number of young apprentices who are on a four year engineering programme.
The company has taken part in the apprenticeship scheme since 2008. It has taken on nine apprentices in that time. The first intake of six graduated in 2011 alongside three more starting in September of the same year.
Emma said: “I’m really impressed with the apprentices I’ve met and I’m impressed with the commitment of Goodyear Dunlop in providing those opportunities for young people. This is not only good for those young people, it’s brilliant for the business in terms of making sure they’ve got that young talent coming through.
