Now that the consultation is closed, Emma is urging Staffordshire Council to release the findings of the consultation on proposals to create an access road to the former ROF site in Featherstone. Although the consultation is now closed, it’s important for the findings of the consultation to be made public to help inform debate over the options before any final decision is taken.

Emma said: “I have been contacted by local residents concerned by one of the options in particular, Option 9, which would involve the building of a brand new road, through existing Green Belt,  from Cat and Kittens Lane to the A460 Cannock Road.

I have let the Council know of my objections to this proposal as it infringes needlessly on our valuable, and precious, Green Belt and will generate a huge increase in the number of heavy goods vehicles journeys and I’m sure many people have had their say via the consultation portal and I will be interested to find out the results.
