Emma Reynolds MP visits Fallings Park Fire Station
Following a recent visit to meet with a local station commander, Labour MP for Wolverhampton North East, Emma Reynolds said: “I was delighted to meet fire-fighters at Fallings Park Community Fire Station today. It is a common misperception that all fire-fighters do is put out fires. In fact, their work is much more wide-ranging. Local fire officers are doing a tremendous job to make people’s homes safe and preventing fires in the first place. Recent figures show that there has been a decrease in the number of accidental home fires. This is a tremendous achievement of West Midlands Fire Service.”
“Apart from visiting people at home, fire officers also make regular visits to schools to educate children about the risks of fires and other dangers. The work that the Fire Service does in our local communities should be commended.”
