Labour MP for Wolverhampton North East, Emma Reynolds MP, has welcomed the Government’s announcement of the creation of the Aerospace Technology Institute, a move which will guarantee £2bn of long term funding for research and development.As Chair of the All-Party Group on aerospace, Emma praised the Government for this initiative.

After her speech, Emma said:

“Researching, designing and building the next generation of aircraft requires long-term, sustained investment and cross-party support. I therefore welcome the Government’s commitment to long term investment in product development within the aerospace industry through the new Aerospace Technology Institute.

Aerospace makes a significant contribution to the local economy in Wolverhampton and with this investment, I am confident the industry can go from strength to strength in the city.”
