Emma visits first new council houses in city for 30 years
In my role of Shadow Housing Minister, I recently visited Thompson Avenue to see the progress in building the first new council houses in thirty years in Wolverhampton.I was very impressed with the development and I am proud that the Labour-run City Council is delivering these homes for local people.
As somebody who grew up in the early part of my childhood in a Council flat, increasing the number of Council homes is something I am passionate about. Should I become Housing Minister next year, helping Councils build more Council houses will be one of my top priorities.
