Emma took part in the commemorations on Armed Forces Day last weekend. Thousands lined the streets of the city to pay their respects to the servicemen and women, past and present who were marching through the city. Emma was delighted to attend Wolverhampton Civic Sunday as the new MP for Wolverhampton North East. Traditionally Civic Sunday is to mark the appointment of a new Mayor. Emma accompanied her Grandfather on a recent visit to Normandy for the 66th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Her Grandad, Ken Reynolds, landed on Gold Beach and is heavily involved in the Normandy Veterans' Association. Emma challenged the Business Secretary, Vince Cable, on the new Government's plans to make cuts to the budget of Advantage West Midlands. Emma said in the House of Commons: "Advantage West Midlands brings an economic benefit to the regional economy of over £7 for every £1 spent.
