Welcome to my website. On 6 May 2010, I was elected as the new MP for Wolverhampton North East. It is a great honour to represent my home town in Parliament. I would like to thank everybody who supported me.

Emma delighted with speech from Labour's new speech
Emma Reynolds was delighted with Ed Miliband's speech to Labour Party conference. In his first speech as Labour's new leader, Ed gave a strong declaration of values and announced that Labour was now led by a New Generation that would fight for a good society and a strong sense of optimism. Emma Joins In Vaisakhi Celebrations
Emma recently took part in the annual Vaisakhi procession from the Willenhall Gurdwara to the Well Lane Gurdwara, Wednesfield. She will also speak at the celebrations in West Park on 2 May. Vaisakhi is the festival which celebrates the Sikh New Year and the founding of the Sikh community, known as the Khalsa. Emma said: "I look forward to Vaisakhi every year. I am always struck by the warmth and friendliness generated by Vaisakhi celebrations in Wolverhampton and I am proud to be part of them. The Sikh community is a well-established, valued and respected community within our city."...

Emma Visits Peer Darbar Temple
On Sunday 11 April, Emma addressed the mela festival at the Peer Darbar Temple on Bridge Street, Wolverhampton. "I received such a warm welcome at the temple and it was a real honour to speak at the mela", said Emma. "I was delighted to be able to share in their festivities."...

Jack Straw Visits Wolverhampton
Jack Straw hit the campaign trail in Wolverhampton City Centre on 14 April, accompanied by Emma and Wolverhampton South West Labour candidate, Rob Marris. Speaking from a traditional soap-box, Jack Straw reminded shoppers of Labour's record since 1997: the rescuing of the NHS from years of Tory neglect, improvements in educational standards and falling levels of crime. He also credited Gordon Brown with leading the global response to the "financial tsunami which hit the world." Emma was delighted to welcome Jack Straw to Wolverhampton and said: "I am so pleased that Jack came to Wolverhampton to support Labour's campaign....

Emma Joins Gordon At Manifesto Launch
On 12 April, Emma joined Gordon Brown at the launch of Labour's 2010 General Election Manifesto at the new Queen Elizabeth hospital in Edgbaston, Birmingham. Speaking after the launch, Emma said: "It was a privilege to be alongside Gordon Brown today. Our Manifesto is about delivering a future fair for all. Only Labour can be trusted to rebuild our economy, protect and reform our public services and renew our national politics. Emma Welcomes New £5m Zaun Factory
On 31st March, Emma visited Wolverhampton-based fencing company, Zaun, and strongly endorsed the company's decision to invest in a new £5m factory which will create new jobs in the local area: "This is a real shot in the arm for the local economy and demonstrates a growing economic confidence in the city. I am delighted that Zaun is investing so heavily in Wolverhampton North East. This is great news for local people." Zaun has already begun work on a 50,000 sq ft extension, adjacent to its current premises on Steel Drive. The new factory is due for completion...

Emma Signs Rethink Pledge
On 26 March, Emma attended a mental health Question Time event in Wolverhampton, hosted by charities Rethink and Reach Out and was delighted to sign the Rethink mental health petition. "I am grateful to Rethink and the Wolverhampton Voluntary Sector Council for organising the debate on Friday. I am also grateful to all those who attended the debate, especially the service-users, for telling me their concerns and how they want services in Wolverhampton to improve. The Government has made some progress in providing better services for those affected by mental illness. However, there is still a lot to do....
