Welcome to my website. On 6 May 2010, I was elected as the new MP for Wolverhampton North East. It is a great honour to represent my home town in Parliament. I would like to thank everybody who supported me.

Emma Gets Footloose at Coppice School
On 24 March, Emma went to see a production of the musical, 'Footloose', performed by students of Coppice Performing Arts School in Ashmore Park, Wednesfield. "It was a fantastic evening", said Emma. "I was impressed with the acting, singing, dancing and music. There were lots of very proud parents in the audience. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening." Emma Speaks at Schools Question Time
On 23 March, Emma spoke as a panellist at the Schools Question Time Challenge, organised and hosted by King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls in Birmingham. She is pictured here sitting beside Ed Doolan, the BBC Radio WM social action broadcaster, who was also on the panel. Emma fielded a range of tough questions from the young audience. Emma Addresses National Pensioners' Convention
Emma was honoured to be invited to address the Wolverhampton National Pensioners' Convention on 25 February 2010 in the Wolverhampton City Council chamber. "It was a genuine honour to be able to speak at such an important and well-organised Wolverhampton branch of the National Pensioners' Convention. Emma Visits Community Focus
Emma recently visited the Community Focus project based in Heath Town. Community Focus is a support and information centre which offers advice on a range of subjects including housing, debt advice, employment and welfare issues. It is partially funded through the European Social Fund. Emma was delighted to meet staff and volunteers and said: "Community Focus is a real asset to local people in Heath Town. Emma and Ed Balls Discuss Launch of Home Access Programme
Emma recently met with the Rt. Hon. Ed Balls MP, Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) to discuss the successful launch of the Home Access programme. Home Access is a groundbreaking scheme to give 270,000 low income families a free computer and broadband access, under a major drive to close the digital and educational divide between rich and poor and help keep parents in touch with their child's progress. Emma and the Rt. Hon. Hilary Benn MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, met with Roy Craven, Morrisons' Master Butcher to find out more about the company's commitment to 'Buying British'. Emma and meals on wheels driver go to Downing Street
Emma and meals-on-wheels driver Wendy Thomas met with Gordon Brown at 10 Downing Street yesterday and raised with him their concern about the steep increase in meals-on-wheels charges which have been proposed by the Tory-Lib Dem controlled Wolverhampton City Council.
